"An ocean voyage of unimaginable consequences... Not every thirteen-year-old girl is accused of murder, brought to trial, and found guilty. But I was just such a girl, and my story is worth relating even if it did happen years ago. Be warned, however: If strong ideas and action offend you, read no more. Find another companion to share your idle hours. For my part I intend to tell the truth as I lived it." -Goodreads.com
The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle was so good! Was a pretty quick read (was able to read it start to finish in about 2 or so hours) but I probably read it so fast because I couldn't wait to know what happened next, this was one of those books I had to almost cover the next page so I wouldn't read ahead. Going into it I didn't really know what to expect, only knew it won a few rewards and had been sitting on my personal tbr pile for a while now... the only thing I wish was that I read it earlier!
5 stars.
